A tour of our family farm

Welcome to our Farm! Here is a quick virtual tour of the animals we have on our farm. Hope you enjoy your tour!

So starting with the first animal that made our farm a farm...
That animal is Black Angus Steers. We own two barns with these steers. One down the road from us and one on the home farm. We buy, raise and fatten, and sell them for beef.

The next addition was our first chicken house. We have been raising chickens since February 4th, 2014 for Bell and Evans. We get around 36,000 chicks every flock and raise them till they are around 6 weeks old and then they get caught and butchered by Bell and Evans.
The next addition was our dog, Shelby. She came from my aunt and uncle when she was 6 years old. They were tired of her and so we took her in.
Next was our second chicken house. We have been raising chickens in there since July 4th, 2019.

Next was our pigs. We got 19 runts from a farmer we know. They birth the pigs and then ship them off and they were the runts that were left behind. We got them May 5th, 2020. We will raise them and then butcher them for pork.
This is a picture from the day we got them.
This is a picture from today. It was hard to get a good picture, because they are a lot more active now.😊
Next was our 2nd group of pigs. We got them May 6, 2020. This time we got bigger ones from a local farmer. We will also be raising these and butchering them for pork. We'll have lots of pork till this is all said and done. πŸ˜‚

And last, but not least, we got two white belted cows by the name of  Clarabelle and Annabelle. Annabelle is the one on the right and Clarabelle is the one on the left. We got them May 20, 2020. I'm not sure what we are doing with them, but for now we are just raising them.

Well this is it for now, but I'm sure we will continue to get more animals, but like I said this is all we have for now.

Today's Bible Verse:
Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.- Romans 15:2 (NIV)

I hope y'all all had an amazing day and thank you so much for stopping by!

    1. Aww thanks so much! And yeah, that's crazy how they look alike! I don't think I shared this, but Shelby (our dog) is around the age of 7.
